Midlife can bring a lot of change at once. You may recognize yourself in some of this:

You don’t feel like yourself

Your energy, body, mood, sleep, or health have changed and the things that used to help just aren’t working anymore.

You’re overwhelmed & depleted

You’ve spent years juggling work, family, responsibilities, and everyone else’s needs. You know something needs to change, but figuring out where to start feels like one more thing to do.

You’re wondering “What now?”

Roles, relationships, careers, priorities, and even your sense of self can shift in midlife. You may know you want something different but aren’t quite sure what that looks like yet.

Why Root & Renew?

You don’t need to try harder. You need a different way forward.

By midlife, you’ve probably collected plenty of advice about what you should be doing—eat better, exercise more, manage your stress, prioritize self-care.

Knowing what to do usually isn’t the problem.

The problem is figuring out what works for you now, in a body and a life that may look very different than they did ten years ago.

At Root & Renew, we don’t start with another list of things to fix. We start with you—where you are, what matters to you, what you need, and what you want from this next chapter.

Together, we create change from there.

Root Before You Renew.

01

Understand where you are.

Before deciding what needs to change, we make space to understand what’s happening now. What’s working, what isn’t, and what’s asking for your attention.

02

Reconnect with what matters.

After years of responsibilities, expectations, and caring for others, it can be surprisingly hard to answer, What do I need? What do I want? We’ll reconnect with your values, strengths, priorities, and the things that help you feel most like yourself.

03

Make change that fits your life.

No all-or-nothing plans. No overhauling your life on Monday. We turn what you discover into small, meaningful actions designed for the life you’re actually living.

04

Grow into what’s next.

The goal isn’t to get back to the woman you were. It’s to feel good in your life now—and move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and intention.

Step outside. Slow Down. Reconnect.

Sometimes the best way to reconnect with yourself is to step away from the noise.

Guided Forest Therapy is a slow, intentional practice that uses sensory experiences in nature to invite relaxation, presence, and connection. Unlike hiking, there’s no destination to reach or pace to keep. Instead, you’re guided through a series of simple invitations that encourage you to slow down, engage your senses, and notice what’s happening around—and within—you.

Spending intentional time in nature can help reduce stress, support mood and wellbeing, quiet a busy mind, and create space for reflection.

And that’s where forest therapy and my coaching work naturally come together.

Both are about creating enough space to hear yourself again.

Wondering what’s happening to your body and whether perimenopause might be part of the picture?

Perimenopause can affect far more than your period. Changes in sleep, energy, mood, brain fog, weight, stress tolerance, and more can leave you wondering why you suddenly don’t feel like yourself.

This free guide will help you better understand what perimenopause is, common changes you may experience, and practical ways to support your wellbeing through the transition so you can feel more informed, prepared, and empowered to advocate for what you need.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is midlife coaching right for me?

Midlife coaching may be a good fit if you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, depleted, or simply not like yourself. You know something needs to change but aren’t sure where to start. You don’t need to have a specific goal figured out before we begin. Part of our work can be discovering what you need now and what you want this next chapter to look like.

Do I need to be in perimenopause or menopause to work with you?

No. While hormonal changes can be a significant part of midlife, they’re only one piece of the picture. I work with women navigating the many changes that can happen during this stage of life; from shifting health and energy to career changes, relationships, caregiving, empty nesting, changing priorities, and questions about what comes next.

How is wellness coaching different from therapy?

Therapy often focuses on diagnosing and treating mental health concerns and may explore past experiences in depth. Coaching is generally more present- and future-focused. We look at where you are now, where you’d like to be, and the changes that can help you move forward. Coaching isn’t a substitute for therapy or medical care, and the two can work very well alongside one another.

What’s the difference between The Midlife Rest and The Midlife Renewal?

The Midlife Reset is a focused 6-week program for women who want to get unstuck, identify what they need most right now, and start making manageable changes.

The Midlife Renewal is a deeper 12-week program for women who are ready to reconnect with themselves, explore what matters now, and intentionally create what they want from their next chapter.

What if I know something needs to change, but I have no idea what I want?

You’re exactly where you need to be. You don’t need a perfectly defined goal to start coaching. Feeling uncertain about what you want can be part of midlife itself, especially after years spent focused on careers, families, relationships, and other people’s needs. Creating the space to figure that out is part of the work.

What happens during a free consultation?

It’s simply a conversation. We’ll talk about what’s been going on, what you’d like to feel or change, and what kind of support you’re looking for. I’ll answer your questions and we can decide whether working together feels like a good fit. There’s no pressure to sign up.
